19 Inch LCD TV – Living Room Setup Options

So you just bought your brand new 19 inch LCD TV. It’s time to make the most use of it. There are a lot of different things that you can do in terms of displaying options and what you choose to do will highly depend on your current layout of your room as well as how much more you are willing to spend. What exactly are we talking about here? Basically, getting an LCD TV is nice and all but the quality picture isn’t the only reason why you bought the TV in the first place. Another reason you bought it is to make your room look better. Sure, you can always place in on some cheap table but if you want to go a step beyond, read on.

There are a couple of different choices that you have in terms of how you will set up your new television. The first is to simply include it into your entertainment unit. If you don’t have one or don’t have the room for one, then you can get TV stands instead. These stands will give your room a much cleaner and less cluttered look compared to a unit with cabinets and shelves. This will depend on how you want to set up your speakers though. In any case, that’s one of the choices that you have.

Another choice is to use a 19 inch TV wall mount. LCD wall mounts can come in a variety of ways. The first thing you will want to do though is to make sure your television is even mountable to begin with. You can do this by checking the box or simply by looking behind your 19 inch LCD TV to see if there are four mounting holes. If there is, then you will want to decide what type of TV mount you want. There are ones that will allow you to adjust the TV up and down as well as left and right. You can also get one that will allow you to move the TV out from the wall to some extend. Then there are the ones that you have sort of a swing arm look like the ones you might find in the hospital or at a restaurant. Wall mounts and brackets aren’t always cheap though so don’t think you’ll only be spending $10 on these. Some can cost hundreds of dollars.

So which option of display should you choose? This depends on your room. If you have a pretty big room, then really, a 19 inch TV probably isn’t big enough to really give the room that nice, luxurious look. However, if you have a room where the sofa is a bit closer to the TV, then either way can work. Mounting your 19 inch LCD TV up will give you more floor space but it will also require more money as well as work to hide the wiring behind the wall. Getting a stand can be a good option but it will take up space which can make your room look smaller. The decision can be based on looks or it can be based on your budget. Either way, this is something you will want to decide before you spend the money to get your new TV. In terms of buying an LCD TV, it’s best to look for them online to compare prices as well as look at the different brands that are available. Samsung is a popular choice as well as Sharp, LG, Panasonic, and Toshiba. You can also find cheap 19 inch LCD Tvs as well but the quality may not be as good. Also look out for sales in stores as well.
